How I can help
You can think of me like a guide, helping you find the internal motivation to do what needs to be done without resorting to self-attack or corrosive guilt trips. I believe it is through our relationships, including this therapeutic relationship, that we develop the strength to overcome obstacles, including self-limiting beliefs.
The goal of our work together is to help you gain more control of your responses so you can connect more deeply with others, live more fully in the present moment, and with more kindness toward yourself. It should help you feel more engaged in life. Through the process you may address parts of yourself that secretly run the show. These could be old patterns based on childhood learning or non-conscious bodily reactions.
